Madness
How to make a custom chest with loot TrinityCore using HeidiSQLHello again, in this tutorial I will be showing you how to make a custom chest gobject and make it so it drops loot.First of all you will need to open up heidisql and navigate to your gameobject_template table (data view). We need to find an id that is not being used so here I suggest you click on “Show All†in the top right hand corner of heidisql. Once all records are being shown scroll right to the bottom and click on the last row.Now let us take a look at the gameobject_template fieldsDear guest, please login or register to see this content. Now we are going to make a new record by clicking on the Dear guest, please login or register to see this content. .Remember you have to double click on each of the fields to edit that fieldEntry:- This will be the Id of the game object (this will be used to spawn the object in game). For the case of this tutorial I am going to use 900005.Type: - Set this to 3 (this defines that the gobject is going to be a chest)DisplayID:- This is where we set what we want the game object to look like. For this tutorial I am going to set this to 259 (display of the arena chest in gurubashi)Name:- Here you will set the name for your chest. I am going to set mine to “Custom Chest†for the purpose of this tutorial.IconName:- Just leave this blankCastBarAction:- Just leave this blankUnk1:- Just leave this blankFaction:- Set this to 94Flags:- Set this to 0Size:- Set this to 1QuestItem1:- Set this to 0QuestItem2:- Set this to 0QuestItem3:- Set this to 0QuestItem4:- Set this to 0QuestItem5:- Set this to 0QuestItem6:- Set this to 0Data0:- Set this to 1599Data1:- Set this to match the id in the gameobject_loot_template. For the case of this tutorial I am going to set this to 900005 the same as the game object id since we have not created the loot for this game object yet.Data2 to Data23:- Set these to 0AIName:- Just leave this blankScriptName:- Just leave this blankWDBVerified:- Set this to 12340Make sure to save the row you just added by clicking on the green tick or the row above. We have now made our custom chest so let us move on to adding the loot to the chest.PART 2So let us now navigate to the Gameobject_loot_template table (data view).Again let us take a look at the field structure.EntryItemReferenceChanceQuestRequiredLootModeGroupIDMinCountMaxCountComment We have to create a new record so we are going to have to click on the Dear guest, please login or register to see this content..Remember you have to double click on each of the fields to edit that fieldEntry:- Set this to 900005 (This is the loot id that links to the data1 field in the gameobject_templateItem:- This is the item id to be dropped (you can find this by .lookup item <item name>Reference:- Set this to 0Chance:- Set this to the chance on the drop rate. If you want it to drop 100% when opened then you would set this to 100.QuestRequired:- Set this to 0. If you want to make it so a player has to be on a certain quest to be able to loot this chest then in here you would put the quest id. You can find the quest id by looking in your quest_template section of the world database.LootMode:- Set this to 1GroupId: Set this to 0MinCount:- This is the minimum amount of the item you want to drop. Set this to 1MaxCount: This is the maximum amount of the item that you want to drop. If you set this to 1 also then the item you set will only drop in the loot 1 at a time.If you set the MinCount to 1 and the MaxCount to 3 then when you loot the chest the item you have set may drop 1,2 or 3 of the item.Comment:- Just leave this blank.Make sure to save the new record. You have now set up your first loot to be obtained from the chest. Should you want to add more loots to the chest then follow the tutorial again from “PART 2â€.PLEASE BE AWARE THAT YOU CAN ONLY ADD THE ITEM ID ONCE. EACH TIME YOU ADD A NEW LOOT THE ONLY THING THAT YOU HAVE TO CHANGE IS THE ITEM FIELDREMEMBER YOU WILL HAVE TO RESTART YOIUR SERVER TO ADD THE NEW GAME OBJECT AND THE LOOTS.
